Once upon a time, way back in The Way Back Machine, I had a website called Astrology Power Zone. This was way back in the pre-social media days when people had webpages rather than Facebook pages. A mutual friend put me in touch with Janet Kane, a Jungian Astrological Counselor and Teacher from Washington, D.C. who was a member of the Washington Society for Jungian Psychology, The Washington Astrology Forum and the National Council on Geocosmic Research. Janet provided us with several “exclusive” articles which you can view here. Many are all still relevant in 2025. What’s nice, is that many of the links on this page still work, so enjoy!
About a week or two ago, the forces that be brought Janet back into my sphere. I asked her if she would be interested in writing a guest post. She was and wrote a piece related to my last article, Wolves, Wolves, Everywhere: Reflections on 2025
The Times They Are A-Changin by Janet Kane
Jupiter and Saturn cycles symbolize looking forward (Jupiter) and looking back (Saturn)—expansion versus contraction. These two planets, often referred to as sociological planets, deeply influence societal shifts and values whenever they aspect each other.
Let’s explore these cycles through Bob Dylan’s journey, as depicted in the movie A Complete Unknown. Dylan’s story offers a striking resonance between the societal transformations of the 1960s and what we’re experiencing now.
1941 – Bob Dylan is born (Jupiter conjunct Saturn), destined to become a herald of change.
1961 – Dylan moves to NYC (Jupiter square Saturn).
1965 – He electrifies his music, shifting to rock and roll (Jupiter square Saturn).
2020 – Jupiter conjunct Saturn marks the start of a new sociological era.
2024 – A Complete Unknown is set to release on December 24.
2025 – The second Jupiter-Saturn square occurs on January 10.
2025 – The third and final square of this cycle happens on June 15, this time in Cancer and Aries—powerful cardinal signs.
I believe 2025 will be even more transformative than 1965. The Jupiter-Saturn square occurs three times in this cycle, and the final square in June 2025, in cardinal signs, could signal profound change.

It always sounds esoteric to say, but you can genuinely feel a shift that’s happening that I feel like started in 2020 even before COVID. And it’s been progressively going. 2025 is going to be interesting.
Cool website! I read the article on Aquarius. Insightful! Looking forward to reading the others. Links to other articles also work.
